invited by a friend
I went there with no inhibitions
no reasons to pretend

I was introduced to a few people
then took a seat and began to chat away
I was just being myself
not something I do every day

I started chatting with a woman
whom had a very beautiful glow
She was smiling and seemed very friendly
but for sure, I did not know

After talking for a while
I learned some things about her life
She was there with her husband
he’s a lucky man to have such a wonderful wife

I showed her my book of poetry
she smiled as she read passages from the book
She seemed so deep into it
she had a very happy and understanding look

There is something so mysterious
as if we were suppose to meet
She seemed to reach my soul
and knock me off my feet

I am so speechless
about this woman I met tonight
I don’t know what to think
I only know that the way I feel is very right

I think she was feeling something
I could read it on her face
I felt our souls touch
it was at those moments, a very peaceful place

The time to leave had come
I felt as if she wanted me to stay
Somehow we really connected
I am left so speechless, not knowing what to say.

You are frank and in a way correct
God at times does miscalculations
As He has to do toughest maths
He out of tiredness makes errors

My feelings are touched by your poem
What is the solution for this predicament?
This also only God can decide perfectly
May God bless you and that kind woman.
