I perspire with a desire
To take my art on higher
With my inner fire
Devising with creativity
Like Picasso
I splat words
On the earth my background and canvas
With ease rhyming
It is all in the timing
Form and fashion of delivery
Control my breathing
This ocean grown heathen
With storms in my brain
I clear the way with sunrays
Ink on paper I lay
Like paved roads
With hope they lead towards a brighter day
