Runaway Train
_______________
You Board Your Burden
You Conduct It's Design
Storing Heavy Cargo
With
An Artctic Inside
But Life Is A Rail
And
You Stay On Your Line
But
The Devil Loans Fuel
To Steer Itself Blind
A Whisper In The Air
And
You Open Your Doors
The Chill Seeps Inside
A Cool Creeps Your Floors
The
Ice Takes Control
The Sun Stops Its Shine
You Yank On The Throttle
Bombarding Through Time
A
Runaway Train
That's Selfish For Cries
It Thrives In The Rain
And
Pours In Your Pride
Soaks You In Pain
Freezes Your Soul
You
Treason Your Mind
And
Lose All Control
Runaway Train
Headed For Home
It's
Impact Is Close
So
Pull On That Horn
And Warn Who Appose
A Figure Arose
But
Your Spirit Is Mist
It Fogs Your Windows
No Need For Vision
The
Figure Is Bold
He Opens His Arms
To Calm The Rainstorm
That
Roars Uncontrolled
He
Conquers Your Shores
He
Storms Through The Cold
He
Melts Through The Ice
He
Thaws Out The Door
He
Crashes Inside
And
Ignites Your Soul
A Runaway Train
You Wake In A Freight
You Stomp On The Breaks
But
The Victims In Sight
A
Rub On The Glass
To See His Demise
You See Your Dad's Eyes

Collide.

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
