Array ( [sid] => 17477 [catid] => 1 [aid] => Mick [title] => We never got to say goodbye [time] => 2003-05-13 00:05:00 [hometext] => My uncle died Friday night, into Saturday... just a bit about him. It means a lot to me... he meant a lot to me. That's all. [bodytext] => "Don't worry about me....
tomorrow I get to sleep in."
He left with a single kiss good night,
and walked up the stairs-
and laid in bed.
He starred at the ceiling,
rubbing his sore back.
When would this pain end...
how come he was not getting better?
He rolled onto his side,
wincing in pain.
The phone rang suddenly,
it was his mom.
"I love you too mom... see you soon."
He said his goodbyes and hung up the phone-
shutting his eyes in relaxation.
The bed was snug and warm...
just how he liked it.
Jane was downstairs, reading a book.
He loved her very much,
more than someone can possibly love a person.
He was going to ask her to mary him tomorrow-
he was ready and so was she.
He wanted to spend the rest of his life with her...
just she and him-
together; forever.
He flicked off the light,
ready for a good night's sleep.
He prayed a thank-you to God-
for Jane and for his life.

The next morning... he never woke up-
he had said his final goodbye. [comments] => 2 [counter] => 286 [topic] => 52 [informant] => stargazer [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 0 [ratings] => 0 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => goodbyepoetry )
