she wants to leave me
but I can’t let her go
she’s not sure if she loves me
she is is not sure our love can grow
its been four years now
slowly I have let her believe
that I am not worthy
that indeed
she should leave

she says she is unsure now
that life is full of twists
the lines are blurred now
she is not sure if we exist
she says she loves me
just not as much as I would insist
she says she is sorry
sorry is exactly what this is

she suggests I find another
one who can give me what I desire
i tell her i want no one else
i love her and only her
her love brings me higher
her soul inspires
her generosity requires
no effort
it makes me better
to simply be around her

if it is true
and she is no longer there
then what a waste
of love floating in the air
our first kisses
and bedtime stares
our loving memories
our good times shared
perfection in her eyes
innocence in her heart
i pray, today, please
for one more new start

she wants to leave me
but I can’t let her go
she’s not sure if she loves me
she is is not sure our love can grow

Love is grand, isn't it? Relationships can be tough, especially when we are mentally or emotionally in a different stage than our partner. I hope things worked out.
