the view of her
captured his imagination for a while.

Then a click --
Her heart opened, screaming
The scars and black void showing --
and he turned away
afraid of infection.

Now she screams in the void alone,
don't look at me!
nobody look at me!
I have a disease within;
pain enough to make you turn away.

soon the heart will close again
the screaming will cease --
the light which covers the wounds
will shine again
and she will stop hiding.

still it's corrupted experience
to be reinjured time after time
in this way
so when it is all said and done
it is better to not believe or try.

a woman maybe, would understand these things
but not someone
centered and afraid of their own pain,
the same sin
the creature entered in. [comments] => 1 [counter] => 83 [topic] => 13 [informant] => Illegible_Fairy [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 0 [ratings] => 0 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => DarkPoetry )
