Array ( [sid] => 17608 [catid] => 1 [aid] => Mick [title] => Welcome to the Night [time] => 2003-05-15 13:35:00 [hometext] => new ground for me. this is meant to be sung, not spoken. a vampiric song. enjoy. and for those who don't know, "deicide" is the killing of a god. [bodytext] => broken glass bath
with the dead and dreaming
tearing burning wings
from the angels, screaming
cold and empty nights
always blurring together
mortality's dangling noose
cannot be severed

quaffing virgin blood
in the garden of earthly delights
poor priest got his neck snapped
denied his last rites
soaring through the air
'neath the moon and starlight
see my pale pallor at your windowpane
as i welcome you to the night

keep your stake away from me
and spare me your crosses
your calvary was all in vein
so cut your losses
abandon faith
accept my hellish kiss
and taste the sweet temptations
of ungodly bliss

sleeping in my coffin
'til the fireball falls
from the sky, now awake
i'm here to deck the halls
with blood and gore
assorted orgrans from your insides
'til one day i tire of this game
and commit mass deicide [comments] => 1 [counter] => 209 [topic] => 13 [informant] => Cancer [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 0 [ratings] => 0 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => DarkPoetry )

wow, this is one of my favourites. you are the master of dark poetry - i like the way the language is macabre but not melodramatic, ungodly and beautiful at the same time. thank you for this insight into the darkness. check out my work if you like, Kate x
