Array ( [sid] => 176291 [catid] => 1 [aid] => mick [title] => Priorites [time] => 2013-06-13 03:39:41 [hometext] => There's a quote that says 'Don't make someone a priority when they only consider you an option'. It tears me up. [bodytext] => I sit through your vicious musings
As you flirt with danger and gamble with my heart,
Tear my soul asunder and flay my mind apart,
Strain my ethics and the rules that I write
And feel all but remorse, though try as you might.
But I choose to feel this way,
On this course I'll stay,
Lose this game I play,
Used like the tool I am,
Still, I don't give a damn.
Your first choice is not with me,
and who's with me is not my first choice.
And I whine and complain until I have no such voice.
So I scream on the inside, but I still rejoice.
Nothing is wrong and you're happy where you are.
Far, far away from me. Close, close beside the one you love.
Like the stars that shine above, who must pierce the clouds.
The clouds of technology do you no justice as the display shows your image.
From five million steps away we breathe the same air, witness the same moon,
long to be in the same room, our meeting never too soon.
How could the stars be so unforgiving to leave only light in their wake
that not until we pass can any know their true fate.
Do they gaze back and see our dim light?
Is being with us worth fighting the fight?
And does any of it matter? Do I matter to you?
And if you're to do nothing, what can I do?
For what can change and remove my guilty sadness?
And honestly, I do nothing but revel in this madness.
And while the price is too high, and they'd think of me badly.
At the end of the day, I'd pay it all gladly. [comments] => 3 [counter] => 195 [topic] => 75 [informant] => GloomyBlu [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 0 [ratings] => 0 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => anguished )

Hi There.

Yes what you say is so true. I can relate to your poem so well. I myself wrote a similar poem. Titled just Priority. We tend to love and care at any cost. However the price is always to high and we realize this only when we are emotionally bankrupt. We should actually see to it that we are emotionally well and taken care of before we can do the same for others yet we don't. As well those whom we love so much usually see our weakness and take immense advantage of it. Well penned thank you for sharing.

Greetings
Rus
