Array ( [sid] => 17773 [catid] => 1 [aid] => Mick [title] => The Storm [time] => 2003-05-18 18:35:00 [hometext] => I've just been sad, so I wrote a poem. The storm signifies my life's troubles and how there are too many to fight...basically, it's a losing battle [bodytext] => The sky so blue, clear and crisp,
But in the distance I see
A dark cloud coming near,
Lightning and rain that it will bring
Down upon this earth, I fear.
The rain of one cloud I can withstand,
But as I look into the endlessness of the sky
I see another and another and another,
What do I do? How do I survive?
The rain, the wind,
The thunder, the lightening,
There is so much to fight, and so little of me.
I must run, I must find shelter and help.
Alone in this meadow, once shining bright,
Now dark, cold, and wet, I am alone,
There is no one, there is nothing.
The rain beating down upon me,
The wind blowing so hard against me,
This wind will carry me away
To a place I do not know,
To a place more dark and dismal than this,
I must grab hold; I must not let it take me,
I look to my left and to my right,
There is nothing, there is no one.
I plant my feet firm into the wet ground.
I wait, I hope, I pray, I stand.
I feel my weight being lifted,
As I am carried away.

wonderful imagery -I'm only sorry you have to feel such pain to create such a poem. But at least you are harnessing your trobles as best you can and using them as inspiration. I wish you strength and blue skys, all the best -Taffi
