Walking towards your glass shaped house, only cracks and stones littered the inside walls.
This rose colored backdrop has made me untimely amused.
Flickering images of those golden idols that line your flat screen mantles.
The floor littered with magazines of obscured visions of what a person should be.
Garbage cans overflowing with ready made supplements, recycled bottles of water line the empty street.

I put on your shoes today, the name brand said it all.
Uncomfortable in mile high expenses, your designer laces dragged on the ground.
This suit and tie I hoped to wow the world, I placed it above everyone else.
My words didn't feel any more important, and the collar felt like a noose.

I placed a barrel of oil to help the shine of your car.
Selling it for outrageous prices to keep the families from going into town.
I raised the price of living to keep the commoners down.
Green miles I charged on the food, tax exempt for those who know how to bend the rules.
I bought all forms of thought, placing umbrellas over freedom of the press.
Copied every article on all fifty sites.
Then I placed a sticker on all free speech.
Warning these words are not from designated outlets, the yellow tape showed.

For one day I lived like a corporate king.
I stood up high looking at the ants that lined my pockets.
Feeling righteous with my folded green backed glory.
My stocked climbed, as did my towers.
Blocking the sunlight for those below.

In my wake I felt an emptiness I thought I could never feel.
Fragrance of rot filled my senses.
Visions of servitude lined the hallways.
Empty as the day is long.

Is this sarcasm? :) Sort of felt it, that's all I'm saying there.

I really liked this. Nicely done.

Thanks,

Tim
