[hometext] => This is one pf my most recent poems and one of my favorites.
[bodytext] => He has walked upon paths unseen,
Old eyes dull which once were keen. Drooping mouth and withered hands, Witnesses in unexplored lands. Feeling time in his dry bones, Seeing pretty girls now old crones. The wind might blow him away, Just an image of mortal decay. Even his mind grows weary, And death seems not so dreary Memory fades all too fast, Who knows how long he’ll last. Just a whisper in the morning, Then night comes without a warning. Taking him far from all that he knows, And all that he may oppose. What can stop him from leaving, There is no use in grieving. The world says farewell to him, Who traveled the world grim.
