[title] => The Burden of Feathers
[time] => 2014-05-27 09:56:42
[hometext] => adapted from two lines of another poem from the boneyard
[bodytext] => I have no Albatross unless I give it feathers- My neck is not suited to birds anyway. The weight is wearisome, these feathers I've allowed on this Albatross I've carried. This bird is born featherless attached to every new soul; smooth skinned both. As hair grew on my body, as life expensed itself in lessons, feathers grew upon my Albatross and the sun could 'ere be seen between them. Now that I'm aware with a desire to see the sun again, a clipping is required- a lightening of load... special shears to cut loose these leaden feathers dragging me. I closed two eyes and opened one- letting in pineal sun...discovering how easy feathers are pulled and loads lessened by letting go of a need for shears. No cutting required- they drop with a wish...a desire.
