Memories of us?
Jewels I hold,
Pulling from a shelf for a pleasing moment,
A lightened heart-
I see your smile in the sunshine...
Your hand, a treasure on my neck...
The touch of you, a passion..
My rudder? Your caress.
Your voice; a song..
Your sparkling eyes, to give a diamond envy;
Your heat, your sex, the perfect curves of you,
the only thing to send me.
Your lips...your lips;
Surely the sculpted joy of a demanding God,
Crowning the utter perfection of your face..
the sum of you? A symphony,
With every note in place.

Tears of heaven mix with mine-
regret, malignant solid 'round me.
Oh regret! So one dimensional-
Little more than garments clothing
the body of my sorrow.
Such a leaden thing my hearts' become-
Not so long ago the stuff of wind....and feathers;
But, sadder still, a new flavour of regret
Soils itself upon me.
With time and despair for strength,
this vagabond, this thief...
Pilfering from my dwindling store of innocence-
taking away, even this;
the melancholy sweetness of mourning
the loss of you. [comments] => 4 [counter] => 138 [topic] => 22 [informant] => invierno [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 0 [ratings] => 0 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => LostLove )

This touched my heart. Maybe because I also understand about
A love that is lost. Beautiful. And the way you spun the words...simply beautiful.

Yes once love has come and exposed itself to us then takes flight and leaves us behind its heart breaking but time does fade both the pain and the memories well not all of them. Good write I like it

Greetings
Rus
