I seemed to think he cared
I broke our friendship, stole you'r love
Along with the person you rared.

He said he loved me truly
That he would not break our trust
But it was he that took my heart away
I feel i am left now with nothing but dust

For the times that he seemed angry
And for the times in which i knew
Anothers heart would break and fade
My love would not see through

He kissed me o so gently
My heart was swept away
A long lasting kiss, an angel sent
Forever in my arms to stay

Yet that forever did not last
For year or two, if less
Now i look at the love you share
All i try to do is impress

For i feel if i acomplish
All i have in mind
Then love between me and the one i want
Will not be hard to find

And so i'll go on trying
Forever and a day
Until my love sweeps me off my feet
And together we will stay

I seemed to think i loved him
I seemed to think he cared
