The times I've seen you grace the stage
And immerse the room in vocal pleasance
Are few yet forever playing in my mind
That voice is remarkable, nearly identical
To the originator of such wonder
You can't see me
Yet from this row I am enveloped in mystical splendor
You can't hear me
Yet I long for a moment in which my voice could reach
Across the stage, unto your ear
If only you could hear me sing
A harmony at times I pick out
I envision the blend, picked up by your mic
It's our moment shared with our audience
Then the light grows bright, you motion me out of my seat
My excitement slightly concealed by grace as I approach you
The mic is shared with me for this verse
The band smiles and waits for the notes to proceed
Satisfaction comes next, as we happily perform
The song is consummate, as is my concert experience
An average day transformed by opportunity
A rarity many are still yearning for and dream
Oh the miracle within this scene
The chance of a lifetime for you to hear me sing
