Tremble from the chill-
revel in the wet,
soak in the rain beyond the skin.
Joy in the plunder of clouds gift-
the marriage of lightening and awe
of thunder-
feed the spirit, nourish the heart-
make sound practices honoring
your soul's presence.
Jump in the mud and rub your face-
happiness can be found anyplace.
Roll in the grass- get stains on your pants-
turn your feet green, smile inside in
soulful dance.
Grab atoms from eons past, breathe deep,
enter the trance of life; living, absorbing
the wonder and majesty of so many functions
in harmony, working to keep your soul here
to grow and leap and bound in the joy
of our day, our life. [comments] => 1 [counter] => 185 [topic] => 21 [informant] => Invierno [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 0 [ratings] => 0 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => Lifepoems )

How often we forget how to be happy in the day, the moment. Reading this made me think of Mick Dodge, living alone in the Washington rain forest for the past 4 decades. i long for simpler times, and I feel I was born out of time, as if I dont belong to this period. IDK about reincarnation, but sometimes I wonder. Great poem my brother. We all need these times and I pray you find them more, hell I pray I find them more.

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
