I can play you at your own game
I'm always one step ahead
And you and I are not the same
trusting you was my biggest mistake
your candy coated smiles are so
transparent and fake
The tongue is small but
it can start great wars
and you're only happy with
the misery you cause
You can kick a dog when it's down
you must have poison in your blood
and seeing someone's downfall
makes you feel so good
I can stand up to people like you
with my dignity and self defiance
and my biggest weapon is my silence
Compassion is something you've always lacked
you're nice to their faces
but you stab them behind their backs
I'll be waiting for you when your empire
finally falls
and I'll still be going strong
yep...I'll be walking ten feet tall. [comments] => 4 [counter] => 234 [topic] => 13 [informant] => Kimmy79 [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 0 [ratings] => 0 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => DarkPoetry )

I would say it's a nice write, but I can't. It's more of a rant to me, but it is an emotional spew of worded feeling. I do however believe you could turn this into a very good poem that flows, like so many others you have written.

Keep up the great work that you do. Sorry if i seem so harsh, but I am straight forward. Also sorry if you are going through a hard time right now. you have friends here and can chat with us at any time!

Wayne

You know, I like this, it's spiteful, pained, but most importantly expressing the part of the self that's been held back for reasons most likely unknown, and quite likely for quite a lon time.
I think you may have read my poem and commented on it, but this reminds me of my poem "Venemous Spite" in terms of the way there is a target to the emotions of the narrator/yourself in writing it. I can't say I know for sure if you commented on it, because I do know you commented on a couple/few as of late. If you haven't seen it yet, hopefully it resonates with you along the lines of this as well. :)

I love it because its true, people can stab and hurt and only you have the power to turn away from it :)
