Seeing Life

Contributed by thehotshotpoet on Friday, 6th March 2015 @ 01:39:19 PM in AEST
Topic: InspirationalPoems

to thank you for the things you do
and all the things I see
you have gone beyond all I know
just looking out for me

standing by your father
to try to help me mend
I see no doubt the perfect son
and also my best friend

they say your friend cant be your father
well that cannot be true
so if anyone that has a doubt
they dont know me and you

just my inspiration
of all the can't and can
I love you very much
you make me who I am

so to everybody out there
who looks for a way to mend
the one you need might be your child
they can also be your friend

To all those people who tell you that your son cannot be your best friend I would say
"Life has no rules, only the opinions of others".
Whatever gives you strength, gives you strength. There is no need to justify it.
Nice write

Steve

I read this after writing and posting my above poem which coincidently also is to do with father figure and gifts given (which can seem more like a hex when not explored thouroughly and eventually after much stormy weather fully absorbed into your very inner being and understood as fully as we are capable at any given moment in time to comprehend

An emotional and touching tribute to your son. Friends are not picked, they are made from mutual respect and genuine caring.
