We run and never stop running away
from what they said we were
from what we promised to never be
in the dark , in the dead of night
where only the things in our closets
or under our beds can hear
and those things are just as scary
as what we may become
We forget who we truly are inside
is different than the worlds opinions
that people think they see through
windows when in reality
all our views have become
clouded and our windows
are broken so we can't see that
the windows are not really windows
Instead they are cracked mirrors
but it's okay so long as we
realize all of our mirrors are
cracked and that nobody
needs to be told to put the
pieces back together
All everyone needs is someone
to support us as we try
to find our gloves and begin
to pick up the pieces
without getting cut
