A Father Who Was A Scrooge

Contributed by Randyjohnson on Thursday, 25th December 2025 @ 01:17:56 AM in AEST
Topic: Holiday Poetry

It was a terrible thing that a horrible man did.
He never bought Christmas gifts for his kids.
Some people called him a Scrooge and others called him a creep.
He never once bought gifts for his kids because he was so cheap.
He did something horrible that is hard to believe.
He gave away his children's dog on Christmas Eve.
He gave the dog away so he wouldn't have to buy dog food.
People didn't care when he croaked because he was so crude.
When he gave the dog away, his kids started to cry.
That man was a Scrooge and he was a terrible guy.
I wish I could say that he changed his wicked ways but I can't.
When he died of cancer, his kids went to live with their aunt.
Their aunt buys them Christmas presents and she treats them well.
When it came to being a good father and a good person, that man failed.

Remember the Evil Satan saved more lives
than its taken. Also it's actions came about
Because of others inactions.

I'm damn proud to be an American.
I will say your poem was fantastic however.
