as my heart beats very fast wondering if this is a mistake
Heart beats
Waiting for your answer, are they the ones I need

Been in this rut for far too long and I know it
I'm hoping to escape this hole of conflagration
Before my mind explodes

So I'm taking this chance to tell you
And lay all my cards on the table
Everything is riding on this one chance

So I'm breaking my own rules
And throwing
the proverbial book out the window
To learn all I can
before my chance is gone

Hand shake
meeting you the first time
there's something about you that is different
A wisdom from study helps you carry on
And life it seems is a bit greener
on your side of the road
Explain to me how you do it

Been in this rut for far too long and I know it
I'm hoping to escape this hole of conflagration
Before my mind explodes

So I'm taking this chance to tell you
And lay all my cards on the table
Everything is riding on this one chance

So I'm breaking my own rules
And throwing
the proverbial book out the window
To learn all I can
before my chance is gone

So if I ask a few questions
Don't take it the wrong way
Questions come like rain after every storm

And if it seems that I'm rushing
I see the light and I want it
Cause I've been in this rut for far too long

So I'm breaking my own rules
And throwing
the proverbial book out the window
To learn all I can
before my chance is gone

It reads like one of your songs, so quite flowing and rhythmic. Very smoooooth!

In any type of relationship, be it friendship, love, business, whatever, it's always a chance that we take.

Best wishes to you and the mystery person!!!

Tim

A smooth flow that seems to sway, much like a metronome.
Every rut is scary to escape, but wanting to escape them is always the first step. Nicely done. :)
