I must get over her She's just not ready It's so hard to do I thought we'd be steady
It's even harder to accept it For my soulmate she is It's such a small world We even worked in the same biz
I poured my heart out to you Just the other day I still can't believe You have nothing at all to say
Blinded by your love Is just how I feel Like two turtle doves My feelings were real
I wanted to hold you All of your days But your love has me hindered It's like I'm running through a maze
I'm a grown ass man And I have no time for games On my own two feet I'll stand Being a better man will be my gain
We were perfect for each other I'm sorry I have to go The emotional stress is to much Getting over you I must do so

What a clever reminder that we have to save ourselves at some point!
Relationships, as you point out so well, take TWO.
Try as we might, we can't do them alone!
Few have said it better "I have no time for games"
"On my now two feet I'll stand"
The lesson you teach us here is that standing alone takes less strength and energy that carrying both sides of a one-sided relationship!

Great write.
Don't be too surprised that when you let go
they return again and again but once it's bad, it's usually always bad.
