Breaking trust
Spreading misery

I am the enemy

An unwelcome
intruder
A willing
colluder
A family
polluter
An incurable disease

I am the enemy

I spread like fire
selfish desire
a no count liar
From your arms
I will ply her

I am the enemy

Clandestine meetings
Sexual feedings
Hearts bleeding
Tearing apart family

I am the enemy

Causing mistrust
Upheaval and doubt
Destroyer of lives
Marriage fallout

I am the enemy

Uncaring
Self Centered
Harbinger
of plight

Beleguered
Bewildered
Broken by
life

Infected
Rejected
Hearts misdirected
Chasing after your wife

I am the enemy

You are also /'/The Healer/'/. 1 out of 10,000 persons that /'/are/'/ as you write of has the courage, insight, intelligence and/or energy to put this down on paper- YOU are 1 of those 10,000, which makes you special and unique.

Yo very well may be all of those things, (I was as such at one point...a long point, in my life), but through age, wisdom, thought, and very significantly, writing out my angst in poetry, I overcame those feelings, which led to an abhorrence of that type of activity.

You are on the first step of a path to reclaiming the happy, trusting, smiling boy you once were; even if only for a moment in your childhood...it/'/s okay.

You are not MY enemy- you are a fellow tortured heart and mind seeking (as evidenced by this poem) to be other than how you feel about yourself.

Keep writing- try doing once small thing a day that your mind may rebel against, but that your heart jumps at the chance for. They add up and chip away at the way you see yourself.

Peace to your heart, friend. I wish I could help you more than a few lines here.
