I didn't really know what category to put this under... it was hard..... [bodytext] => We all stood our ground,
not believing you had taken your life.
People sobbed, people yelled...
then there was us who didn’t know what to do.
Isolation, denial, reality?
We wanted all of it...
except the truth
The truth meant facing the facts that you were gone.
Hard times, some deep issues,
you just got in over your head.
No fantasy life,
you had real life problems.
People cared, all to much,
maybe so much they never cared at all.
Real friends would have told-
and well
no one did-
Not even me.
Parent’s tried, teachers prayed
I laughed,
it was never enough.
A sober you wouldn’t have raised the gun that night
You took the chicken way out-
forgetting about those who cared.
Him,
Her,
Them,
Me…
We’ll never forget the words you said:
‘I am only human.’
That’s the truth, humans make mistakes.
Even one’s as costly as the one you took,
we can’t change the reality now.
You are gone…
And we never got to tell you that we cared.
That gun, it is a barren to our lives.
That night you raised the gun…
You took not only your life,
But part of ours.
Why didn’t you just get help?
Why didn’t you talk to someone,
We would have listened.
But never the less…
we’ve moved on,
But have kept you in our thoughts.
My brother he misses you…
He thinks about you every night.
I know he cries silently,
His head racing wildly.
I miss you too,
Especially at this candle light goodbye. [comments] => 3 [counter] => 698 [topic] => 52 [informant] => stargazer [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 0 [ratings] => 0 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => goodbyepoetry )

im so sorry for your loss, just last night my friends friend shot himself, he was a millionare, was acting fine all day and laughing, no one had any clue anything was wrong, he wasn't drinking, he left two kids 9 and 11 years old and a wife upstairs and went in the basement and shot himself. why? we are all left wondering, wherever they both are, they now have no worries, and your friend was right, we are all only human, ~big hug n' love to you, nessa

Yeah why us? This was last year... and just like your friends friend, he was acting all fine and laughing that day and then that night.... it happened. They said it was an accident, he tripped... but he was also drinking, so who really knows?
