Been feeling like this for hours
just can not seem to clear my head
no smoking no drinking or pill popping
can take away this gloomy edge,
you see
I have been a victim
you used Illusions to control my mind,
emotionally you had me chained down
with broken promises
your drug of love had me blind.
I am not mad at you
I am mad at myself
for letting you in,
the power you had to hold me
is over
and it will never happen again.
Stockdale had a flowing classic line
that stays on my mind
icebergs on tropical seas
were never meant to be,
I no longer will be
the captive audience
I just do not have the time,
so now
believing in thee Importance of nothing
is how I am gonna live my life.

I don/'/t know much about this Stockdale guy but I love this poem... Seems we are living the same life and for that you have both my respect and sympathies ;)
