It was a day like any other day
no new tales
nothing was happening...
no emotional pain
only good vibes all around
everything was kool,
but
in the flow of conversation
something was mistaken
so now confusion with no sound
has created violence in silence
and a feeling of doom.
I await in anticipation
for that notification
that you are responding,
my smile has become a frown
because it has been an hour
since I sent words to you.
so tired of waiting
I chain smoke
waiting
for the next line,
what is taking you so long
and
why do I have this feeling of doom.

This flows so well and builds up the suspense and anxiety. Had me tapping my mental foot with you!
Perhaps we are at less risk when we over- communicate than when we are silent!
As your write indicates, when there is no sound, our imagination writes the script.
