We hear , see and know of many dry places that are dead, dry and broke ,the only thing alive is the dry hot air that survive. no plant,no insect,no animal, no water,no people, no boards. so many dry places we refuse to explore them In and out of our life are many dry places. physically emotionally, and spiritually. Yet we hide them from others perfectlly like a good actor we pretend all is well ,when inside we are experience real hell,in places we never dream could be so still life many dry places.

dry is the soil
underneath maybe it used
to be captured below the porous
rock
in the Aquifer
in the mind in the body and
in the soul
it used to be
Where now only the
Vast desert sands
exist
Like underneath the oceans
Like underneath the Sun
Like the gravity of it all
Like the tectonic plats
That move
And the swirling mists
of time casts away
star far far off
in distance
extreme
Good poem, dear Sir Richard / king of the poem.
Peace!

I/'/m feeling a bit like this today. Constant negative energy by those around you certainly dry up the positive thoughts even though you try not to let them. Same for the news. The last five lines are especially powerful and drive the poems message home. Well done!
