Who would not stand
With his fans
Later left the field
When he could no longer kneel
Meanwhile the man with the hair of gold
Took the throne as he foretold
  With just a whistle
  Off went the missiles
While a lazy Susan
Named after a kernel
When she heard all the men had died
  She went to TV
  And recited her lies
  Backed up by the man
Who once wore the thorny crown
  Later history will decide
  Oh what a clown
Those who want to kill the Jews
  Later stole the news
  With their misguided beliefs
Ignored by the man who was once chief
  Are still here today
  Spreading their grief
  In so many ways
Those countries who all claimed to pay
  More than their way
Met the man with hair that frayed
Happily he gave them all away
  The rest of the world
Was all too happy to stand by
  While rogue leaders sentenced
  Their citizens to die
   The axis of evil
   Still live in a world
   Modern society deems medieval

Mmmmm, pie.

I just hope when the missiles hit us, I`m one of the ones that never even knew it happened.

Crazy world. Great poem. Keep `em comin`.

Thank you.

Tim

well done. something written in todays chaos, seems so fitting to be applied in any era. All great empires eventually devour themselves.

whole lot to digest here -
integrity, and yes, the words of
people that are expressed regarding
any wrong, words that should be said,
that so often are not.

The war thing, no war - not my favorite company
any war, but sometimes there is no other way
if the war is provoked - like the great one, WWI which brought on WWII.

The race thing - is ever so real, we all should
know this. Speak and sure go ahead a protest
but if you do, do so with all your heart.

The ultra orthodox religious / evil thing -
gang-like evil professed with followers who
- perhaps those broken down by sinister
leaders in broken societies
Not a war - but more like a disease
that no war by itself could ever cure.

all important things to think about deeply indeed.
James , I do respect your writing for sure.

Peace!

contemporary creatures with film star features
make their movies and we,the crippled pilgrims,
are the captive audience.....
Good poem indeed.
