Two school kids
Just all about some fun
Boy meets girl
Both so misunderstood
But willing to give it a whirl
We/'/ll never grow old
Is what we/'/ve been told
Did we even care
Totally unaware
Stares all around
We were born to dare
Even though you and I no longer cared
Too young to drive
Trapped in the windy city
We still manage to thrive
As if we even cared
So many people abound
But when we/'/re together
It/'/s as if no one else is around
The times they were a gas
Meet me under the city lights
Down where there are
High heels on the street
Selling it all to anyone that they may meet
No need to be discrete
They all will run and hide
Kissing a toad disguised as a queen
Not as if they/'/ll ever know
All they got are themselves
And the burdens they must tow
Not that we even cared
We/'/re throwing all our cares in the air
Don/'/t despair cause
We/'/re only young and it/'/s still nineteen eight-one [comments] => 2 [counter] => 217 [topic] => 34 [informant] => jamesstockdale [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 0 [ratings] => 0 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => SongLyrics )

Bring back the eighties I say!!, life seemed so much better then. It wasn/'/t perfect but then what is?
Nice write, came across as a James Dean type rebelliousness.
You reminded me that life should be about the choices we make, not what others expect us to make
