[bodytext] => He wandered paths unknown, Never letting himself be seen. He stuck to the scrub, where he could hide, For the men who hunted him, were keen. As he ducked under brush, For he sensed they were near. He remembered his family, He held so dear. He remembered that day, It had been so calm, The day they were killed, Only he escaped unharmed. He saw them shot, Everyone he did love, His brothers and sisters, Mum, Dad the lot! He was bought back to now, From the noise he/'/d just heard. He knew that sound anywhere, After what he/'/d endured. The gunshot it alerted him, As he squatted, trying to hide, He felt the sting of the bullet, As it struck and pierced his hide. He leapt to escape, But something failed to work. He looked down, saw a shattered leg! “It’s my turn to leave this earth” I am happy though for once again, I shall be with my Mob in the sky. I will see my friends, family and more, And peace will forever reside I was never meant to be alone, Out there, alone’s a death sentence on you. I know I needed to be with my Mob, For I am a Kangaroo!
