One tiny rose most stubbornly grows in my garden of thorns and weeds;
Its lustrous red bloom in that ashen grey tomb, gave me cause to reflect on my needs.
If it climbed through sheer stone on assumption alone;
Surely I need no more to succeed.

Wise and wonderful. Your garden of words is majestic.

Beautiful and so true.
We often overlook the small things in life and the struggle of it all. We can find beauty in the smallest of things and we can be inspired to write of beauty as well. That/'/s what we have here...……...

I liked the metaphor in the second line as well as the message that comes through at the end. I/'/m glad I read this

bright colors the rose
in my backyard we have these
humming birds, pixies I like to
call them, magical beings
nectar is their whole existence
the tiny nest with the fledglings
taking root into air
yes they fed on insects and tiny
squirts of nectar that was squirted
into their tiny tiny little mouths.
We are based in nature
If we could only see what
we seldom do
And learn to think
differently, how amazed
we might be by your precious rosebud
as if it was the only one.

Peace!

Success is what and how you make it.
The single bloom of achievement through the adversity it encounters is brought to life and light through personal determination, not the surroundings. Very nice write!
Thanks for sharing...

Nice little motivational post - achievement despite the conditions. Sometimes though, the conditions inspire the effort.
