No small rock
discretely marking my
final place of
rest, no!
My marker shall be a
monolithic work of
hand chiseled stone
upon which buzzards shall
perch and
contemplate the
simplicities of death as they
look to the sun
rising from the fog
on the distant horizon.

Nice!!!
Sometimes it is important to be bigger than you were in life and a big stone does it for me....
Oh well, if it makes you happy, why not!
Enjoyed this. |

What an image you have left me with! Reminds me of the cover of a paperback pulp fiction mystery, buzzards, fog, and all!
There is a distinct advantage to plans we make for the afterlife; no one can sue us! In the case of your opulent gravesite..perhaps you could be charged with doing bodily harm?
Fun write!
