Into the moment’s thunder.
My grown up and my child compete;
Tearing me asunder.

Age has made me far too wise;
Afraid to walk the sky.
I fear Ill meet my own demise;
Too smart to try am I!

Once I was a dreamer;
Who leapt and sang and danced
Today Im just a schemer;
There is no second chance.

They warn you and protect you;
From things they never tried;
Time stacks the deck against you;
And never tells you why.

Great poem Jaye
I/'/m getting there myself. You have wants, desires, and achievements you want to see through but sometimes your body just can/'/t do.

Your body ages but the mind stays forever young.
Bittersweet indeed.

A gloriously honest write!

A lovely description of the fight between the two contrary ages where surely the latter one wins!

As they say there is a short cut to everything but experience!

Beautiful, Encore!

How honest and true the words are that you have spoken. Every year that passes I race to try and do things that I would otherwise put off or just say to heck with. But truth be told I want to limit the number of regrets I have or will have. I think that I will do my best to make 2019 a year of reflection. The past few years I haven/'/t done much writing Im going to try ad change that this year :)).
Thank you very much my friend...I need that

Rich
