When we’re not around,

We’ve been where we’ve been,
All have started where we once began.
I hope you lead on a road less covered in tares.
When you reach the end we will be there.

There was never a wasted year,
No moment has been lost,
They only grow with the tears,
We, all born in a complex man’s hand, live the best we can.

It’s not hard to fail,
It’s not easy to win,
Never think people are what make life magnificent,
When your vapor has lifted you’ll find us then.

Maybe not with all you’d like to see,
Or all you would have liked to have known,
You’re with the best of them,
This is your strength when the dark hours become long.

Did the stars burn bright for you?
Do they help you find your way?
Or do they lead you staring the sky,
Leading you astray?

Don’t lose yourself,
Hang on to what makes you you.
You’ll never be weak and ashamed,
Forever is lighted by who you are today.

We all have changed,
And I want you to know this,
When we’re not around,

We’ve been where we’ve been,
All have started where we once began.
I hope you lead on a road less covered in tares.
