The perfect night was when he held me tight
A star lit sky on a warm summer's night
A touch of gold, a drop of light
The little sparkles in his eyes
I gaze into them, hypnotized
He holds me closely, not letting go
Not being chilled as the cold wind blows
The feeling of his lips on mine are so warm and kind
His kiss is so soft, much sweeter than wine
But now, everything we had as gone away
In heaven is where it shall stay
Wait for me, I will be there soon
Where we can be together, under the silver moon
One day we will unite and remember
That one perfect night
Each day and night, I see in my mind
Your touch your love, all so kind
I cry for you; I pray for you
I promise you that our love is true
Next time, I swear, I'll say 'I love you'
Never will I forget, the first day we met
Never will I forget, your depressing death
All I have left from you to me,
Is that same old beautiful memory
Of that perfect night
