It's just that Mom was around so long
Her death is more than sad.

I've always thought that missing you

Now Mom's with you and I'm alone

As your day approaches forgive me Dad
I'm in a frightful disarray.

My tears and sorrow are with Mom
There is no other way.

Except to say my heart is in the back seat with you this Father's Day.

Although You've Taken A Back Seat
I do still love you Dad.

It's just that Mom was around so long
Her death is more than sad.

I've always thought that missing you
Was more than I could bare.

Now Mom's with you and I'm alone
With grief I cannot share.

As your day approaches forgive me Dad
