Overwhelmed with fright.
Doesn't take rejection well.
Wants everyone to go to hell.
She gets sad and starts to weep.
All the sorrow and the pains she's been through.
And at the awakening of every day,
she knows that deep inside
there's more to come.
More that'll bring bad thoughts
and dreams her way.
She toughens up and says "What the hell" and charges through the day with her memories that make her feel safe...
so things that are said and thrown,
won't sink in.
Easier than facing the facts of the way life is. This little girl would rather sit and think throughout the day
than get up and do things that bring sadness into her life.
Seeing people that bring bad memories
and seeing faces that were once forgotten. All through the day,
she's in the spotlight.
Every move she makes,
every mistake she makes is seen.
All she wants is to crawl into the dark cave. Somewhere that's familiar.
She knows everything about it by heart now. Being there each tiem is like breathing for the first time.
Something that you do all the time
but it's nessary to her.

I want to escape.
Escape from this pain.
This torture that I experience everyday.
It slowly is riping my heart open like a tumor that infects my brain.
I'm the only one that knows it's there,
but I have no answers.
I don't know what to do.
People see my cave as dark and cold.
But to me, t

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
