Array ( [sid] => 19376 [catid] => 1 [aid] => Mick [title] => No Title [time] => 2003-06-21 04:35:00 [hometext] => Sometimes no matter how much it hurts,we have to let go of the person we love..But if you truly love them, then, you must let them walk (an older poem..and yes he walked but came back again *huge smiles*) [bodytext] => Late night walks down empty streets,my destination unclear
Searching through the darkness,in hope that you'll appear
A deep and inner desperation, surges 'neath my wintered skin
As I stand beside a streetlight, and close my eyes to seek within
Any kind of comfort, that will hold me close until such times
That I can search these nights no more, because you will be mine
For all that you have given,I should reflect a thousand smiles
Yet I'm tangled up in sadness,to think of you across the miles
To hear the presence of your heartbeat,as I lie upon your chest
To feel your arms around me,to be safe with love and blessed
Rain drizzles cold from winters sky, joining with my tears for you
I bow my head in silent prayer,Please GOD see us through
Help us to come together, touch on a love we've never known
Losing ourselves in each others eyes, never again to be alone
All this time spent dreaming of you, while puddles form and fill
Theres a smile yet its shadowed,as my sadness lingers still
I turn my back on the faceless street, head down, I feel the pull
Of tormenting words within my mind, again myself I fool
Believing any beautiful love, could ever be more than a dream
I look back at the desolate street,we are the same it seems
Through daylight hours we accomodate, life and passersby
Yet when the night comes calling, alone for hours we lie
I know somehow I've deeply sinned,I've no right to need of you
There's a sadness in my smile,it's all that I can do
If our being together was in GOD'S will, surely we both know
That everything we feel right now, would be free to flow
At heart I know you love me,and if you could, you'd be
Here tonight in the rain, sharing everything with me
With rain swept streets behind me,I let my body roam at will
To seek wherever it needs to be,to lose this painful chill
Dogs are barking at my presence,or could it be they feel
The dreams that are my shackles,a prisoner of the unreal
On the surface I will cast you free, yet deep inside you'll always be
Your peace of mind and happiness, means so much to me
With these last thoughts,my body aches,it's now I have to face
The letting go of all the smiles, that my dreams had once embraced
I look up to find I'm standing, again beside the same streetlight
All this time I've been roaming, around in circles through the night
I'll remember everything, all you meant to me and mean still
With a sadness in my smile, you know I always will............
