You treat yourself with no respect, I can't help asking why
Look at you, you're so much more; don't let life pass you by
You're future's so uncertain. You have no hopes, no dreams
This is all you'll ever be- at least; that's how it seems...
Until you're willing to try, and turn your life around
It's impossible to rise, get your feet up off the ground
I know your life's been filled with pain, I see it in your eyes
I see the girl inside of you, behind the false disguise
You're living in a comfort zone, afraid to venture out
But you'll never be a winner if you cannot fight the doubt
I know that it's not easy, to stand up and be strong
To crawl your way out of the hole you've lived in for so long
You will not make it through if you don't want it bad enough
If you're too weak to fight, when life gets a bit too tough
I know what you will say, once you've finished reading this
You'll laugh at me and tell me that it's all a load of *****
But you and I both know that this is not the life for you
And until you're willing to change it, there's nothing I can do
Are you being fair, to the girl that is inside?
The girl that you keep locked away, always forced to hide?
I know I cannot change you, it's up to you to choose
But I think this girl should be let out- what have you got to lose?
