Yesterday lived deep within' the woods
where trees were so tall and ancestrally stood
and time there went away so fast
because Yesterday lived in the past,

Tomorrow lived upon the cliffs of dreamy day
in all bright colours; no thread of grey
by a beautiful shore where wind never blew
Tomorrow spoke to flowers of brilliant new dew,

Yesterday sat quietly in embers of lastly light
watching butterflies and late birds taking flight
whilst far away Tomorrow thought of merriment
and sweetly dreamed of every coming melodious event,

seasons of fall, winter, spring and summerlong
Yesterday and Tomorrow laughed and sang delightful songs
both opening the leaves of heartfelt poet's pages
these charming two muses that forever fill the ages.

Yesterday lived deep within' the woods
where trees were so tall and ancestrally stood
and time there went away so fast
because Yesterday lived in the past,

Tomorrow lived upon the cliffs of dreamy day

The ladies are right..the poem is so bright

yesterday and tomorrow, do make a certain day,
Today is when I live and today it's got to be

Oh Nessa! It is so uncanny. Whether I know what I "want" or not, I *always* find exactly what I need in your heartfelt poetry. I come to your account page, click on a random poem, and boom! My answer is there. This reminds me of one of my most treasured poems: "Yesterday, Today, and Tomorrow". The author is unknown, but his/her poem is a mantra to many.
