Questioning Pain

Seldom do you wonder why rain drops fall
When tragedy occurs then you question and think
Will this day be my end, my last closest call
And when I close my eyes will I too have my final blink
Thoughts like these emerge when someone close to you is taken
An innate alarm is triggered and the unconscious is awaken
Why did it have to be so rainy that day?
Why were you so sure it was safe to drive home?
I'd rather I could have been death's prey
So jealous of you in heaven and these days I'll be alone
