My days are nearly through.
In pain I lay my quill pen down.
Not an easy thing to do.
My body goes to science.
My spirit goes above.
The only thing I leave behind
Are things I did for love.
I received such peaceful feelings,
While weaving tapestries of words.
But I never wrought a masterpiece,
Like great hymns that I have heard.
To those who have encouraged me,
And written words of praise,.
You humbled deep my inner man,
And gave me brighter days.
This last work is my swan song.
I bid you all “adieu!”
I’ll see you on that peaceful shore,
Where I’ll patiently wait for you.

To everyone, I say goodbye!
My days are nearly through.
In pain I lay my quill pen down.

My body goes to science.
My spirit goes above.

Dearest Rob. I have been a huge fan of yours for some time now. I know of some of the pain of which you speak from a mutual friend. It grieves me to think that the world would be losing one of its best writers and fellowman.
I will certainly never forget you or your great work and will miss both dearly. This is truly a piece or art to be treasured....much like your friendship and all your poetry.

I don't know you nor ever read your any write but after reading this I'm sure going to miss you. This is a wonderful and very hearfelt write. I wish you hadn't have to go.
