I am now going on my way
Even though I had many reasons to stay
It really just isn’t for me to say

Many things in my life
Caused me much grief and strife
But for my son and wife
I know this cuts them like a knife

Now it’s easy to see
The constraints that once held me
Like the shores of the sea
Keeping the waters from being free

But as a dyke that has just burst
Quenching the water’s innate thirst
To be freed onto new land first
And its pressures now dispersed

But something tells me not to go
For on the other side I do not know
But as a leave on the winds do blow
You cannot hold on to your soul

Our requests are now denied
When it’s time there’s nowhere to hide
I have now passed to the other side
Yes you guessed it…I have died
