Array ( [sid] => 2188 [catid] => 1 [aid] => mick [title] => Giving up a Precious Jewel ( for the right reasons) [time] => 2002-08-12 13:34:33 [hometext] => I got this beautiful little black, adorable female kitten. She is only 4wks. Not even weaned yet. No mother I gathered, so it only took one look, and I was hooked. I had always said that if God put forth a little kitten in my path, it was meant to be. Well, for a small while, I had her, it was. She is the most precious little kitten, I had to wean and feed like a baby, since my own babies had been small. But my big boy Dewy attacked her and I have no room to really lock her up and then yell at my big boy, who is only doing what is normal. My heart is not in this to yell, nor is it fair to do this to them. So what I thought I was doing for a good thing wasn’t right. She went to a very good home tonight, and I’m missing her. I slept with her and fed her every two hours. That was the other issue; she wasn’t ready to eat regular kitten food. Not what was said when I got her, but then I think her brother ate the food and she just left him. So I mixed up my special recipe for her to be weaned, and well, her new owner will have his hands full for a bit. But she will have someone home to watch her and free reign of the house. No mean cats, like mine. Although he isn’t mean, just not a fathering or mothering type like his younger brother. So a lesson learned, I will never get another pet. Dewy will be the last. I will cherish Lil’ Jewel baby ways of a very young baby kitten, and blessed to have had a beautiful bond, that I will always love her. She is worth this heartbreak, for she is a little heartbreaker!

[bodytext] => I had to give up my baby girl
Oh, it was only three days
To find out my big boy would give your head a hurting whirl
I fell in love with your little cute face, all within my heart rays
That first day, I held you, those little tiny blue eyes
Your little body so adorable, those little cries
Of wishing for your momma, still weaning, your tiny feet knead
The shirt I had, while you look for a teat
Watching, hearing, and holding you, lots of love you need
My oh my, your so sweet, my heart just wanting you
Knowing full well, God would put forth a wonderful treat
For my big boy, only to find out, I cannot have you too
I know now, not to get another,
Locking up one and yelling at the other
Is not what is right, or fair, for I don’t want to loose him too
So my Lil’ Jewel you are
A treasure of love, so priceless you bonding to me
My heart is broken; you’re worth all of that by far
For the home you have now, is much better
I will be keeping updates, pics and a letter
From your new momma to be
I love you so much, I cry as I see you go
Even though, your not going far, my heart will know
How wonderful a blessing you gave me, to feel and love you
My sweet, tender, precious Lil’ Jewel

I keep some contact and found out my precious little girl was a boy!! :) tis why my big boy didn't like the little one. He was so tiny, I mean really, so little, it was difficult to tell. Im waiting on a pic. to see what he looks like now. He has a wonderful loving home.
