of yet another day.
Frosted glass of morning
reminds you of your stay.
Reach on through snags of
razored memories,
rest here for a bit.
Ease the pain, calm the storms,
cry out loud from where you sit.
Please rush not home
to find suspension here,
lost amid the mid-day darkness.
If all were known of the struggle
so desperate,
caution would replace recklessness.
The pressure immense,
the storm elite,
it's waiting just over the ridge.
Lost is the path from the narrow road
caught opposite a burning bridge.
Have no fear of silent footsteps
battling for the shore.
Climb inside the hidden circle
and rest forever more.
Find shelter in the forest,
pledge a journey slow in pace.
raise your shield to hide yourself,
nothing left of you to trace. [comments] => 4 [counter] => 155 [topic] => 13 [informant] => jaeann [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 0 [ratings] => 0 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => DarkPoetry )
