In spite of passing the time
In comforting ignorance.
Where I secretly wish crimes
Were only cold whispers in the dark
Where I hold the power
To keep the sheets over my face,
The pain constantly hidden there
In desperate longings for perfection.
Blinding me from the truth.
Thankfully.
But it’s no wonder
I’m still alive.
It is sheer determination
That gets me through today
Where hope means knowing that
All is well
Regardless of past promises, broken.
Some will not make it
This time around
But some of us will, I hope.
This truth is my own, I belong to it.
I freely delegate this responsibility
To myself, mindfully deciding
My own fate
With perfect timing.

The change came
In spite of passing the time

very deep thoughts. i had to read it couple of times to understand it at least from my view. still i liked it :)
