Array ( [sid] => 22475 [catid] => 1 [aid] => Mick [title] => My Broken Self [time] => 2003-08-29 16:05:00 [hometext] => I just felt like this right now so I wrote this up for my journal and liked it ..so here it is. Hope you all enjoy. [bodytext] => I seem to have fallen in my hole again
Deep inside myself
Enveloped in pain
None of you see it
But that's ok
Continue to tell me
It'll be alright
Then call me hun
And tell me things like
It'll be fine in the long-run
But buried inside me
Lies the truth
There's a fight going on in there
And no matter what, I lose
No one understands
That I'm falling apart
There's pieces of me
Lying all about
Whenever I stop to gather myself
I collect as much as I can
And walk on
Trying to put together
My miscellaneous shards
But sooner or later
I trip and fall
And my mended self
Is shattered again
And each time the pieces
Get smaller and more broken
And more and more get left behind
I'm dwindling down into nothing inside
Pretty soon I'll trip one last time
And my last two pieces will break apart
Leaving me to be nothing at all
But broken pieces
Mixed in with the dirt
Because I have completely fallen apart

Terrific poem, but always remember the people you truly believe won't be there for your falls are the one's who'll surprise you the most.
