little child, once we knew,
why so many, we say good-by,
tears our country, now will cry,
Many hearts, you have but touched,
lives so tender, be it such,
once you stood, upon thee earth,
be a demon, spare your worth,
happy heart, you should of known,
in the valley, you now roam,
Could the rules, that we make,
be the reason, of your state,
little time, you had since birth,
child now, it really hurts,
Such destruction, must you see,
upon the day, you are set free,
How can we not cry for you,
little child, once we knew,
did you even, know that day,
that a demon, walked your way,
With a gun, they took you down,
be our faces, now that frown,
Shall we try to understand,
and light a candle, as we stand,
must we weep, for little you,
how our hearts, have broke into,
Years have past, since you've been gone,
we still grieve, it seems so wrong,
must we always, hold a child,
even if it's for awhile,
shall we find, the peace within,
be our children, should of been,
How can we not cry for you,
little child once we knew,
why so many, we do cry,
it still is hard, to say good-by,
not forgotten, to this day,
for his mercy, shall we pray,
Little child, once we knew,
how can we not cry for you!
