What am I you ask?
I am but a single shaving of wood
on the floor of a carpenter's shop.
My trials and tribulations mean nothing.
In the grand scheme of things, who will care
when I have left this place?
Will my soul live on through all Eternity?
Why should it matter what I do with my life?
I look up and I see a star up in the sky
When I looked up at the blanket that is the sky
Covered with random sparkles that illuminate the night
I asked myself is that what life is?
How can something so small, so beautiful
Be so significant, so essential to life?
Who would have thought? I know it was not me
I Am a star up in the sky
I will shine bright through the night
I want to be significant
I will not subject myself to the norm
I will use my love, my compassion
To bring something to this life
But I know where I am going
I am the one you are looking at
When you look up and see that star up in the sky
