even when you're alone
you know i'm with you
every thought in my mind
a way
to get you back
locked windows and doors
won't deter my love
even the gun in your purse
can't stop this
paper trail of restraining orders
you play so hard to get
don't worry
i won't give up sweetie
my home, a shrine of your image
snapshots of you shopping
clubbing with friends
(back when you weren't too scared
to leave your new house)
a few of you showering
(i had those blown up)
and my favorites
photos of you sleeping
your long dark lashes
lying dormant on your ivory cheek
(you look so much like your mother)
each photo lit by it's own taper
black wax pooling on the floor
streaks of oddly colored chalk
forming ominous patterns on the floor
the stench of failure everywhere
not one demon i summoned
would procure you for me
at night when i curl up to dream of you
i sleep in the nightie i stole from you
it's kind of tight, but i don't mind
i never wash it, it still smells like you
days spent waiting, hopeful
that just once you'll drop your guard
the back door to my van always unlocked
ready for a quick deposit and escape
i would worship you like a goddess
WHY DON'T YOU ***** LOVE ME BACK
everything you could ever want, i would give you
no joy would be denied you
but, your fear clouds your mind
one day you'll come around
all my love letters returned, unopened
screening your calls, i can't get through
unwanted love degenerating to fury
i'm getting tired of waiting for you
so easy, while you were sleeping
your puny husband fell quick
once his throat was slit he forgot all about you
i would never let a little blood
keep me from protecting you
you struggled a bit, had to give your hubby a show
but, in the end, i brought you back home
back home
home
they will never find us
our trail covered threefold
and now that you see what i would do for you
surely our love will grow
you'll bare me many children
you'll live in comfort and bliss
we'll make up for all the time
that we lost in all of this
in time you will understand
no other man is good enough for my little girl
and now that you are back home
daddy's ready to give you the world
now come here and give me a kiss
thank me for these diamonds, and these pearls
and remember, no matter how old you get
you'll always be daddy's little girl

oh magosh this made me sick to my stomach, but I dont say that to bash you-- its that good. terribly vivid(again not a bad thing) well written.

This is freaky *chills*
So very close to a story from my past "eek"
You really made me feel like I was watching you watching her.Unbelievable and totally vivid images filled my head.

This was good and disturbing very well written it kind of reminded me of One Hour Photo although your poem was much scarier. Good job.
